The duties of a Barrack Warden include, but are not limited to:
- carry out daily visual inspections of all accommodation properties and report damages;
- liaise with guest and residents regarding any concerns and issues with their rooms;
- complete documentation for maintenance and furnishings;
- perform and enforce the duties of a Fire Warden by carrying out routine inspections and submitting reports;
- receives, stores, distributes, and arranges the delivery of supplies and furnishings; and
- liaise with cleaning staff regarding cleaning requirements and schedules.

Must wear CSA approved safety footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
Must be willing and able to safely lift heavy items up to 70 kilograms up 3 flights of stairs using equipment
Must be willing and able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 30 kg.
Must be willing and able to perform a variety of physical tasks for an extended period of time, including but not limited to standing, walking, lifting, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and crawling.
Must be willing and able to ascend and descend up to 3 flights of stairs
Must be willing and able to work indoors and outdoors and in varying weather conditions
Must be willing and able to work from heights
Must be willing and able to obtain a DND404
Reliability Status security clearance
Must be willing and able to work overtime
