The immediate need is to staff 1 position. A pool of partially qualified candidates may be established from this selection process and may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures, as well as various security clearances within Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO).

EDUCATION
Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
EXPERIENCE
Significant* experience developing and managing relationships with clients or senior management.
Experience providing advice and recommendations to senior management**.
Experience in negotiations with clients, partners and stakeholders.
Experience chairing or facilitating meetings with clients, partners and stakeholders.
Experience in managing human resources.
Experience gathering and analyzing client and partner requirements.
Experience in writing briefing notes or presentations for senior management**.
*Significant experience is defined as normally acquired over a period of two or more years.
**Senior management is defined as Director level or above (or private sector equivalent).
Bilingual - Imperative (CBC/CBC)

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in positions of increasing responsibilities or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
EXPERIENCE
Experience in reporting either internally (within the department or private sector organization) or externally (for example Treasury Board Secretariat or regulatory body) on items such as security compliance, results reporting; Information Technology (IT) Plans
Experience writing briefing notes at the executive level
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENT
Willingness to work overtime (evenings and weekends).
Willingness to travel.
Willingness to work flexible hours.
Secret security clearance
