Intent of the process

The immediate intention of this process is to staff one (1) indeterminate position.

A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates may be established to staff similar positions at Elections Canada with varying tenures (such as indeterminate, specified period, acting) and various bilingual linguistic profiles (BBB/BBB, CCB/CCB, CBC/CBC or CCC/CCC).

- A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.

Notes:
Based on their education, training and/or experience, indeterminate incumbents of positions in the IS classification are deemed to meet the minimum education standard whenever a bachelor's degree without specialization is called for in a position classified as IS.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

- Significant* experience in managing the planning and implementation of complex** public education or outreach communications programs, projects or initiatives.
- Significant* experience in managing content development for educational or outreach products .
- Experience in providing strategic advice and recommendations to management***.
- Experience in managing consultations and liaising with external stakeholders.
- Experience in managing and planning a budget and supervising human resources.

*Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of activities related to this task, which are normally acquired in the course of regular work over a period of three (3) years or more.
** Complex programs, projects or initiatives are defined as including characteristics such as national in scope or multijurisdictional, multidimensional, involving multiple stakeholders with different needs, requiring innovation or sensitive in nature or having potential for significant public interest.
***Management is defined as senior/executive level positions in any organization in the public, private or not-for-profit sectors.

- Experience leading program operations.
- Experience managing web and social media content.
- Experience establishing and monitoring contracts.
