Information on employment equity
1. When completing the screening questions, remember that the assessment board cannot make assumptions about your experience. It is insufficient to say that you have the required qualifications or to list your current or past duties. Rather, candidates must demonstrate how they meet the education and experience criteria listed in the job opportunity advertisement by providing CLEAR AND CONCRETE EXAMPLES.
2. Candidates must meet the essential qualifications to be appointed to a position. However, a person may be appointed to the position even though he or she does not meet any or all of the asset qualifications, operational requirements, or organizational needs. Please note that meeting these criteria may be desirable and may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed.
3. All results and invitations for interview/written assessment will be sent electronically. We request therefore that you include a valid electronic address (e-mail address) when you apply and make sure this address is functional at all times and accepts messages from unknown users.
4. Candidates’ qualifications may be determined by various tests, interview and/or reference check.
5. Ability to communicate effectively will be assessed throughout the process.
6. Persons are entitled to participate in the appointment process in the official language of their choice. Applicants are asked to indicate their preferred official language in their application.
