This process will be used to staff positions at the CR-04 group and level within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police with language requirements, security requirements, conditions of employment and work locations that will vary depending on the needs of the positions being staffed.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

EDUCATION :
Diploma of vocational studies (DVS) or an Attestation of collegial studies (ACS) or a Diploma of collegial studies (DCS) in office administration.
EXPERIENCE :
Experience in providing administrative support services in an office environment services including a minimum of five (5) of the following:
• Coordinating and scheduling appointments, in-person meetings or teleconferences;
• Preparing meeting agendas or taking meeting minutes;
• Data entry;
• Preparing correspondence;
• Ordering office supplies;
• Filing;
• Processing mail;
• Maintenance of office equipment;
• Assisting with logistical arrangements such as travel/accommodation and meeting facilities;
• Providing procurement and fleet management support.
Experience in providing service to internal and external clients (in person, over the phone or in writing).
Recent* experience in the use of various software programs such as: Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
* Recent is defined as experience obtained in the last two (2) years.

LEAVE/ABSENCES DURING THE SELECTION PROCESS:
It is the responsibility of the candidate to notify the Departmental contact of any pre-approved leave throughout the duration of the process in order to facilitate scheduling of evaluations. One alternate date will be possible only if requested for the following reasons:
1. Medical reasons with doctor's certificate,
2. Death in your immediate family,
3. Confirmation of pre-approved travel plans or training plans (made before the advertisement posting date),
4. Religious reasons, or
5. Participation in an assessment for another selection process.
