Intent of the process

You may have noticed this inventory doesn’t close for quite some time. This is because our organization is constantly growing, allowing us to consistently offer opportunities. The intent of this Inventory is to have a variety of qualified candidates to draw from when positions become available.

Additional qualifications may be required by the hiring manager(s) depending on the position being staffed. You will be provided the opportunity to submit information or be assessed in relation to any additional qualifications that may be applied.

This inventory may also be used to hire public servants who are interested in temporary opportunities such as acting appointments, assignments, or secondments.

For the EDUCATION requirements, we are looking for:
✔ A secondary school diploma (high school) or an *acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

*Acceptable combination must be related to administrative services and/or program delivery and can be obtained through the private sector, community work, volunteer work, self-employment or other.

For the EXPERIENCE requirements, we are looking for experience:
✔ Experience in providing support in one or more of the following areas: administrative services, client services, programs services, community services, retail services, financial services, clerical services or other.

This inventory will be used to staff positions with various linguistic profiles, including English essential, French essential, and bilingual positions. For bilingual positions, you must be able to work in English AND in French (Reading, Writing and Oral proficiency). Conditions of employment

In order to be appointed, Reliability Status security clearance OR Secret security clearance will be required, depending on the job you are being hired for. You will be expected to maintain this clearance throughout the duration of your employment.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU APPLY

► Step 1: Once you click "Apply Now," the first step of the process will involve completing what we call ‘screening questions’ and attaching your resume. The responses you provide to these screening questions will help us determine whether you meet the EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE requirements.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT...
Below, we've outlined what you can expect for the assessment phase should you be selected for further consideration. Our assessment is designed to make sure that this position is the right fit for you, which is important for your job satisfaction as well as the success of our organization.

► Step 2: You will be asked to complete an exam assessing the COMPETENCIES. It will be sent to you by e-mail and can be completed from the comfort of your home. This online exam includes 64 multiple choice questions and one written response. You will have an established period of time to complete the exam at a time that works best for you. You will be given the opportunity to request accommodations when you receive the invitation to complete this step in the process.

► Step 3: Should you have successfully completed step 2 of the process, you will be invited to answer a series of questions in order to gather information regarding other qualifications. These questions will be provided to you by e-mail and you will be given one week to provide your written response.

► Step 4: Second language evaluation (SLE) tests will be administered for positions that have a Bilingual LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT.
• If you have valid results, you will be asked to provide them to us.
• If you need to be retested (reading, writing or oral) you will be contacted to make arrangements.
• If you have never had a SLE test done, you will be scheduled for the reading and writing tests first. If you are successful on the reading and writing AND meet all other essential criteria for our process, you will then be scheduled for an oral evaluation.

Additional information for the SLE test including format, duration/length, and delivery method will be provided to you when your test is being scheduled.
