POSITION TITLE: Program Support Officer
The Transport Canada Ports Programs team in the Quebec Region is responsible for the management and operation of some of 20 public ports and public port facilities under the Canada Marine Act Part 2 and the Public Ports and Public Port Facilities Regulations, as well as the implementation of the Port Assets Transfer Program. More specifically, the Programs Support Officer will have the following responsibilities :
• Provide support for operations management of public ports and public port facilities
• Provide support for interpretation and regulation enforcement (Canada Marine Act part 2, Public Ports and Public Port Facilities Regulations, Marine Transportation Security Act, Federal Real Property Management Act , etc.)
• Provide support for real property management, including monitoring of leases, permits, legal agreements, etc.
• Provide support for the Port Assets Transfer Program
• Provide support for disposal of real property considered as surplus
• Provide support for the management and monitoring of contribution agreements
• Provide support for communications with users, tenants and other stakeholders
• Provide support for monitoring contracts
POSITION TITLE: Regulatory Officer
As part of the Oceans Protection Plan, Minister of Transport announced a review of changes to the Navigation Protection Act. The Navigation Protection Program administers and enforces the provisions of this legislation, the regulations conferred by this act and others. The Program Support Officer will be responsible of coordinating, planning, developing, implementing and monitoring project and activities to support the program. This includes:
• Preparing project/recipient risk assessments;
• Developing mitigation strategies;
• Monitoring performance indicators and monitoring agreements between Transport Canada and other organizations;
• Implementing stakeholder engagement and service standards for projects;
• Coordinating, preparing, and monitoring project/program budgets and outputs;
• Preparing key strategic documents and overall program results.

EDUCATION

EXPERIENCE ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working in the marine field;
