• Contributing to scientific hypothesis building and design of experiments centered around rematriated Iinnii on Blood Tribe lands.
• Sample collection, monitoring, data collection
• Note taking, recording observations

The Iinnii Rematriation Project is a culturally important process undertaken by members of the Kainai/ Blood Tribe. This project led by the Kainai/ Blood Tribe presents opportunities to monitor the impact of bison on native prairie plants, animals, and soils. Student work will focus on monitoring, sampling, and data collection in relation to Iinnii Rematriation.

Education:
Currently enrolled or willing to enroll in College, Bachelor’s or Master’s or PhD program at a recognized post-secondary institution.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
Experience in familiarity with cultural or spiritual traditions of the Siksikaitsitapi /Blackfoot People.

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance - Each student hired through the Research Affiliate Program (RAP) must meet the security requirements of the position as a condition of employment, and therefore will be asked by the hiring organization to complete security-relevant documents.
