Intent of the process

This advertisement will be used to staff various leadership positions with Fisheries and Oceans Canada in the Maritimes Region, either on a temporary or permanent basis. Leadership positions may include the following groups and levels:

►Senior (EX Minus 1): AS-07, BI-05, CO-03, EN-SUR-05, PC-04, PM-06, SE-REM-01
►Middle (EX Minus 2): AS-06, BI-04, CO-02, EN-ENG-04, FI-03, GT-07, PC-03, PM-05
►Entry (EX Minus 3): AS-05, CO-01, EG-06, GT-06, PE-04, PM-04

The educational requirements vary between leadership positions within Fisheries and Oceans Canada. The assessment of the Key Leadership Competencies will be conducted in two stages, an online test followed by an pre-recorded interview. The online test will be completed through Evaluation Personnel Selection International (EPSI), a specialized third party service provider. Pre-recorded interviews will be conducted using a third-party platform called VidCruiter.

Assessment schedules may differ depending on the position being staffed, resulting in some applicants being assessed before others.

Suspension of vaccination requirement
***************************
Effective June 20, 2022 the vaccination requirement for the Core Public Administration (CPA), including the RCMP, will be suspended. As of that date, employees of the CPA will no longer be required to be vaccinated as a condition of employment.

Preference

Preference will be given to veterans and to Canadian citizens, in that order, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
