Work environment

The Canadian Forces Health Services (CFHS) is the designated health care provider for Canada’s military personnel, delivering medical and dental services at military installations across Canada and overseas. Intent of the process

This inventory will be used for various tenures (indeterminate, deployment, specified period, assignment, secondment). Applicants who meet the essential qualifications will have their application included in the inventory for this ongoing selection process. As positions become available, the applicants meeting the initial screening requirements identified by the hiring manager may be contacted and referred for consideration. Your application in this inventory will be active for 365 days. A notice that your application is about to expire will be posted to the My jobs menu of your account 20 days before the end of your active period. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in social work

Degree equivalency

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
E1. Significant* and recent** experience providing psychosocial intervention/treatment using evidence based psychosocial modalities (such as CBT, CPT, EMDR, DBT)

E2. Significant* and recent** experience providing psychosocial assessment to adults as primary client group.

E3. Experience working independently with minimal clinical supervision.

E4. Significant* and recent** experience working in an Adult Mental Health care environment, including having performed assessment and treatment/structured therapy.

E5. Experience establishing or developing productive and cooperative partnerships with community based services.

*Significant experience is defined as experience associated with having performed a broad range of related activities which would normally be acquired over a period of approximately 2 years

**Recent is defined as experience obtained within the last six (6) years

Security Level: Various

Registered in good standing with a provincial/territorial social work regulatory college/association in the province/territory where employment is sought.

Must not be the subject of any practice restrictions or professional practice review by any regulating authority, or be the current subject of any professional practice complaints.
