EDUCATION
- Graduation with a degree from a recognized University in mechanical, civil, electrical, geological, industrial or environmental engineering
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
- Eligibility for certification as a professional engineer in Canada with a specialization in mechanical, civil, electrical, geological, industrial or environmental engineering
EXPERIENCE
- Considerable* experience in the field of engineering (e.g. as applied to buildings, light towers, marine structures, roads or power systems) and/or related civil engineering projects (*Considerable is defined as the depth and breadth of experience that would be acquired with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience following graduation in mechanical, civil, electrical, geological, industrial or environmental engineering)
- Experience in managing financial resources
- Experience in Project Management* (*Project Management is defined as taking a project through the four life cycle phases from initiation to closeout)
- Experience in managing staff and making decisions in relation to human resources and staffing

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in the management of and planning for capital projects with operating funds (Capital projects are described as those >$1M.)
- Experience in Real Property Management Functions* (*Real Property Management Functions is defined as the administration and daily operations of owned and/or leased facilities; providing a safe working environment for employees as well as visitors to facilities; and providing efficient, cost-effective building management, maintenance, custodial and maintenance services to all properties)
