Intent of the process

Fill a legal assistant position in the regional military prosecutor's office at Courcelette. (Québec)

A pool of qualified candidates could be established and could be used to staff identical or similar positions with varying levels of security, locations, durations and language requirements and profiles.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION
ED: Successful completion of a secondary school diploma.
The alternatives to the secondary school diploma approved by the employer are:
- satisfactory results on the test approved by the Civil Service Commission as an alternative to a high school diploma; or
- an acceptable combination of education, training and / or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
EX1: Experience in performing administrative support services.
EX2: *Significant experience in maintaining electronic and paper filing systems.
EX3: Experience in maintaining “Bring Forward” systems.
EX4: *Significant experience handling and storing classified or protected information.

*Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of related activities for approximately two years.

KNOWLEDGE
K1: Knowledge of legal concepts.

ASSET EXPERIENCE:
AEX1: Experience working within the Canadian legal system
AEX2: Experience using specialized legal office software
AEX3: Experience doing legal research.
AEX4: Experience in legal processes within the military.
AEX5: Experience with the relationship of legal officers to the public, and the chain of command.
AEX6: Experience completing travel claims.
AEX7: Experience handling information subject to legal privilege.
AEX8: Experience in performing administrative support services in a military environment

KNOWLEDGE
AK1: Knowledge of the mandate and structure of the Office of the Judge Advocate General.
