Intent of the process

The initial intent of this process is to offer one indeterminate PM-04 Senior ATIP Analyst at IACC.

A pool of qualified persons resulting from this process may be created and may be used to fill similar positions at the Agency with various linguistic profiles (bilingual imperative BBB/BBB, bilingual imperative CBC/CBC) as well as tenures (indeterminate, deployment, acting, assignment, secondment, specified period) which may vary according to the position being staffed.

This pool may be used to staff similar positions in other organizations within the core public administration (http://www.psc-cfp.gc.ca/plcy-pltq/rfli-lirf/index-eng.htm).

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:
Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
Recent* experience in providing advice and recommendations to management** on policy and procedural issues relating to the administration of the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act (ATIP legislation).

Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures relative to ATIP operational matters. (Training materials, ATIP guides, etc.)

Recent* experience in processing ATIP requests and performing quality reviews of sensitive and complex ATIP requests.

Recent* experience in responding to and resolving complaints as well as developing action plans for the resolution of complaints lodged with the Office of the Information Commissioner and/or the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

*Recent is defined as experience acquired in 2 years in the last five (5) years.
**Management or senior management is defined as equivalent to a manager level or above

Knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of central agencies and of the Offices of the Information and Privacy Commissioners of Canada.

Knowledge of the federal Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act, their Regulations and related court decisions, as well as emerging trends and current issues.

ASSETS EDUCATION:
Completion of access to information and privacy courses from an accredited institution

Degree equivalency

ASSETS EXPERIENCE:
Experience in using access to information-related software such as, but not limited to, Access Pro Case Management and Redaction.
Experience in developing and delivering information or training sessions.
Experience working as an investigator with the Office of the Information Commissioner (OIC) or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (OPC).
Experience in responding to and resolving complaints as well as developing action plans for the resolution of complaints lodged with the Office of the Information Commissioner and/or the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
