Description: The Extractive Sector Transparency Measures Act (ESTMA) is part of an international anti-corruption initiative that requires certain oil, gas and mining companies to annually publish reports containing payments they make to governments around the world. The data generated by ESTMA reports helps deter corruption in the extractive sector by enabling communities to hold their governments to account for the revenues generated by natural resources.
The ESTMA Program is seeking a candidate for a position within its compliance and policy unit to assist with conducting research and analysis of extractive companies and help ensure that they comply with their legislative requirements. This may include participating in desk and site audits, as well as other compliance monitoring and enforcement activities. The candidate may also be required to develop and present briefing notes and PowerPoint decks to various internal and external stakeholders.
If you meet the positions’ requirements, are interested in being part of a high-performing multidisciplinary team, and would like to contribute to the global fight against corruption, we encourage you to apply.
A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff critical positions within Natural Resources Canada’s Extractive Sector Transparency Measures Act Program.
