DG Costing, Investment Planning and Approvals is a group with the ADM (Fin) organization which is responsible for the preparation of all DND cost estimates, the DND Investment Plan and all Corporate submissions. This is an exciting time to join a new team, and grow with the organization as they define and stand-up this new organization. Our team provides direct support to the Canadian Armed Forces and the Defence Team by working alongside civilian and military managers in various financial and policy disciplines. This unique environment is exciting for any FI, AS, CR or EC Professional looking to be part of a diverse and innovative workforce.
Our offices are located in various locations within the National Capital Region. We are presently working virtually until we can return to our offices at Carling Campus.
We are seeking AS-01 Professionals who are interested in joining a growing, dynamic team supporting the preparation, analysis and briefing of senior management on lifecycle cost estimates, corporate submissions, and the investment plan. A pool of partially qualified or fully qualified candidates may be created to staff identical or similar positions with various tenures, linguistic profiles and security requirements for positions within the department of National Defence and throughout the federal public service.
A person may be appointed to the position even though he/she does not meet any or all of the asset qualifications, operational requirements, or organizational needs. Education

Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field relevant to the duties of the position, in particular, office automation, administration and office
management.
Asset Experience:
Experience working in the Federal Public Service.
Experience in budgets / finances.
Experience in preparing financial reports and providing analysis, including using a financial management system such as SAP.
Experience using PeopleSoft software.
Experience using SharePoint software.
Experience in information management / information technology.
Experience in processing and archiving documents.
