Assessment accommodation

This is an Ottawa-based position with the possibility that the successful candidate may be able to work remotely from one of the OSFI offices across Canada (Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver); the one closest to their place of residence. Working remotely will require travel to Ottawa.

Duties

The Manager, IM/IT Planning is a technical specialist in the following areas: IM/IT planning; IT industry best practices; IM/IT business continuity planning, emerging technologies and trends within industry; and Policies and initiatives within Government of Canada.

This position performs TBS compliance monitoring and reporting related to: IM/IT planning & reporting; corporate performance reporting; financial and budget management and reporting; investment planning; and project management and governance planning and reporting.

ESSENTIAL EUCATION:
- A degree from a post-secondary institution in a relevant field OR an acceptable combination of relevant professional industry experience, training and/or education.

Degree equivalency

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in strategic, business, budget, and operational IM/IT planning within an organization.
- Experience in leading, managing, and tracking progress of a multi-year IM/IT planning program/cycle for an organization.
- Experience in managing program activities and/or projects within an IM/IT environment.
- Experience in research and analysis, benchmarking, financial and budget management/ reporting and tracking IM/IT trends for an organization.

ASSET EDUCATION:
- MBA or a Masters degree in a field relevant to the position

OSFI's Ottawa location is downtown with easy access to shopping, restaurants, gyms, financial institutions and more. The building is less than a five minute walk from LRT and STO stops.

As a Separate Agency, the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) appoints employees in accordance with the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA). OSFI is named in Schedule V of the Financial Administration Act (FAA) and it offers the same pension and benefits plans as the core Federal Public Service. In addition to this, OSFI employees obtain a minimum of 4 weeks of vacation leave per year, earn a competitive salary, and are eligible for an annual performance bonus.
