DUTIES include but are not limited to:
✔ Plan and manage the human, financial and material resources of the work unit.
✔ Lead the development of service delivery strategies, operational plans, business plans, and priorities for the Contact Centre; promote strategic vision and work with organizational peers and senior management to resolve service delivery issues.
✔ Work with Information Systems Branch and technology service providers to maintain and develop the telephony solution for the Contact Centre.

Immediate need: To staff one (1), PM-05 Bilingual Manager, indeterminate full-time position in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
A pool of qualified candidates will be established and may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures (Indeterminate, Specified period, Acting, Assignment, Secondment, or Deployment) based on the position being staffed within Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC). Additional qualifications may be required by the hiring manager(s) and applicants will be provided the opportunity to submit information or be assessed in relation to any additional qualifications that may be applied.

EDUCATION
► A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and or experience.
EXPERIENCE
► Recent* and significant** experience in supervising or managing a team in a work environment.
► Experience preparing written material for management such as briefing notes, memoranda, project documents and issue papers.
► Experience analyzing complex work related issues or problems, trouble-shooting and recommending solutions.
*Recent is defined as normally having performed the duties within the last eight (8) years.
** Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of activities related to the position over a period of two (2) years. Activities such as, but not limited to : assigning work, monitoring progress, managing and assessing performance, developing and implementing training and staffing plans.
ASSET EDUCATION
► Graduation with a certificate, diploma or degree from a post secondary institution in a related field.
Bilingual - Imperative (CBC/CBC)

ASSESSEMENT INFORMATION
You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. Some essential and other qualifications will be assessed through your application. It is your responsibility to provide appropriate examples that illustrate how you meet each qualification. Failing to do so could result in your application being rejected.

Depending on the number of applicants, volume management strategies such as random selection, top-down approach and/or establishing cut-off scores to determine who will continue in the staffing process, may be used for the purpose of managing applications. Please note that although you may attain the established pass mark on any of the assessments used in this staffing process, management may decide to use a higher cut off score.
A written examination and/or an interview may be administered.
Reference checks will be sought near the end of the selection process and you will be asked to provide contact information for three (3) references - (1) from an immediate Manager/Supervisor (1) from a peer (1) from a subordinate. The Assessment Committee reserves the right to contact references other than the ones submitted by the candidates if found necessary, in order to make a suitable assessment of the candidates.

Preference will be given to veterans and to Canadian citizens, in that order, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
