The INFRASTRUCTURE & OPERATIONS and COMMERCIAL OFF THE SHELF (COTS) teams are responsible for the administration of technology such as application servers and software hosted on premise and in the cloud.
The intent of this process is to create a pool of qualified candidates to staff several positions on a term or indeterminate basis at the Public Service Commission (PSC). The first four (4) positions we intend to staff via this process require secret clearance. Other government departments may use the pool upon approval from the PSC.

EDUCATION
Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
EXPERIENCE
Recent* experience creating, reviewing or analyzing various IT requirement documents
Recent* experience troubleshooting servers and application issues
Recent* experience supporting Windows Servers or Linux/Unix Servers in an enterprise/corporate** IT environment
*Recent experience is defined as two (2) years of experience in the last five (5) years.
**Enterprise/corporate refers to an organization of a minimum of 30 employees AND a minimum of 20 servers.

ASSET EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree or higher in an Information Technology (IT) related field.
Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
ASSET EXPERIENCE
Experience working with clients on Quality Assurance and Acceptance Testing techniques
Experience using Java, HTML and Structured Query Language (SQL)
Experience working with Microsoft Active Directory or Group Policies
Experience in understanding IT network infrastructure and routing

The process itself will comprise of the following five (5) phases: Screening, Written Exam, Interview, Second Language Assessment (for bilingual positions), and Reference Check

It is imperative that you reply to these questions by providing DETAILS (WHERE, WHEN and HOW you acquired the experience) to be able to assess you properly. Those who successfully complete the screening phase will move on to the next phases of assessment.
