EDUCATION
A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternative*;
AND one of the following:

- Technician or Technologist Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering;
- Technician Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in a Chemical or Chemical Laboratory Program

*The employer-approved alternative to a secondary school diploma is an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

ASSET EDUCATION:
- PMI-recognized Project Management training
- *Acceptable number of courses in physics
- *Acceptable number of courses in electromagnetics
- *Acceptable number of courses in materials chemistry or materials science

*Courses must be successfully completed at a recognized post-secondary institution

Degree equivalency

ASSET CREDENTIALS
- Certified Engineering Technician (CTech) or Technologist (CET)

ASSET EXPERIENCE

- Metallographic sample preparation
- Mathematical software use, such as MATLAB
- Computer aided design (CAD) and modelling, such as SolidWorks
- Additive manufacturing (3D printing)
- Experience with DND/CAF
- Experience in MARLANT
- Welding or machining
- Design of electrical or mechanical systems
- Diagnosing electrical issues
