Looking for a new challenge? How about a 14-month opportunity with the Publications Team from Canada’s Spectrum and Telecom Program. Spectrum is the invisible magic behind wireless communications. As our Team Lead you’ll oversee a group of about 12 staff that edit the Program’s technical documentation and publish it to our website. The site is the largest in the department (!), and serves clients ranging from national telecom companies to individuals across Canada. Over the years the team has pivoted from a simple HTML publishing shop to a full-service group developing innovative digital solutions using Google maps, and offering information management services to our authors.
As the Team Lead, you’ll manage employee objectives and performance, and you’ll work with the Manager and Director to set strategic direction. Over the 14-month assignment, you’ll also be responsible for migrating the site from the current Lotus Notes platform (yes! Lotus Notes!) to the new Drupal system, while overseeing the publishing process (briefing management, forecasting priorities, assigning resources, etc.).
You don’t have to be an expert publisher, editor or engineer—we have a strong team who will support you in your role. We are looking for someone who is client-focused, with good briefing and project management skills, and of course, a people person (because we really do have the BEST team in government)!
Think you might be interested? Then let’s start the process!
