The Learning Officer participates in the development and delivery of assigned learning projects; executes assigned learning project steps and summarizes findings to make appropriate conclusions and recommendations; aids in researching subject matter and understanding of the learning entity; and interprets information and produces analysis to provide pertinent insight.

EDUCATION:
ED1
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in education, linguistics, sociology, psychology, mathematics, physics, home economics or some other specialty relevant to the positions in the classification.
Note: Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
EX1 Experience applying the principles, methodologies, and techniques of adult learning.
EX2 Experience in creating learning materials for adults.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
AQ-ED1 Certification in adult learning or instructional design.
AQ-EX1 Experience working with eLearning development tools (e.g. Articulate, Captivate, Lectora, etc.).
AQ-EX2 Experience facilitating training for adults.
AQ-EX3 Experience in assessment of adult learning.
AQ-EX4 Experience with the coordination and delivery of adult learning.
AQ-EX5 Experience in developing or delivering regulatory training programs.
