EDUCATION :
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with an acceptable specialization in nursing, nursing service administration, nursing education, or some other specialty relevant to the position.
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION :
Have a current nursing registration in Manitoba.
EXPERIENCE :
• Experience managing the development, implementation or evaluation of health programs and/or services.
• Experience in case and contact management.
• Experience managing human resources.
• Experience developing and delivering group education sessions or training programs related to health.
• Experience working with a multi-disciplinary and/or jurisdictional team.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Recent* and significant** experience in providing Public Health Nursing in one or more of the following areas:
- Case and contact management of Tuberculosis
- Case and contact management of Vaccine Preventable Diseases and Delivery of Immunizations
- Case and contact management of Sexually Transmitted/Blood Borne Infections
- Case and contact management of Communicable Diseases
*Recent is defined as within the last five (5) years.
**Significant is defined as a minimum of two (2) years experience with the candidate performing complex activities related to this task in a wide variety of situations.

• Experience working with or building partnerships with health organizations.
• Experience in dealing with labour relations issues.
• Experience with electronic medical records or public health information systems including EMR, eCharts and/or PHIMS.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS :
• Willingness and ability to perform on-call duties and work overtime, as required.
• Willingness and ability to travel in small aircraft, off-road vehicles and by boat in varied weather conditions to communities in remote and isolated areas, as required.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT :

• Maintain current and ongoing certification as a Registered Nurse with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba.
• Willingness to complete education/training relevant to the position.

• Maintain current and ongoing certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation-Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain certification in other certification programs as deemed necessary by employer.

Only screening questionnaire will be used during pre-screening process. We may use resumes as a secondary source to validate the answers to the pre-screening questions. Candidates who fail to provide sufficient information will be eliminated from further consideration.
