The Crime Prevention Awareness Liaisons work as member of the RCMP K Division Crime Reduction Strategy Team to help reduce the impact of crime in the Division. The Liaisons act as local point of contacts for crime prevention engagement and education. They work alongside various RCMP resources as they develop relationships with local stakeholders. Liaisons deliver crime reduction programs and make presentations to various community groups and government agencies. We are looking for individuals interested in making a difference in the communities the RCMP Police in K-Division.
At this time, there is one (1) vacancy in Leduc.

Candidates from outside the federal public service will be required to pay for their own travel (including travel for assessment purposes), and may be required to pay for their own relocation expenses.
This process will initially be used to staff positions on an indeterminate basis and to establish a pool of qualified candidates with various tenures (i.e. indeterminate, term, deployment, acting, assignment and secondment).
Should a CM be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to another category for the member.

Ex1 - Experience in preparing documents for management such as: infographic documents, reports, presentations and briefing material
EX2 - Experience in conducting analysis, research, and review of data
EX3 - Experience developing and delivering program training and/or information sessions
EX4 - Experience in data input, retrieval, and verification of information in computerized information systems
EX5 - Experience composing, editing, and proofreading correspondence
EX6 - Experience providing service to internal or external clients / general public, via telephone or in person
A2 - Ability to communicate effectively in writing
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
AEX1 - Experience conducting criminal investigative analysis
AEX2 - Experience working in a Policing or Paramilitary service environment
AEX3 - Experience using open source/social media tools in a work environment
AEX4 - Experience establishing and fostering partnerships with clients or stakeholders to achieve results
AEX5 - Experience delivering or addressing security/environmental residential or business design issues with the public
AEX6 - Accreditation in Crime Prevention
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENT
O1 - Willing and able to work in a busy police environment, including exposure to unsettling and/or graphic material
O2 - Willingness and ability to work overtime, as required
O3 - Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a valid Class 5 driver’s licence
O4 - Willingness and ability to travel for work and/or training purposes using various modes of transportation (including owned or leased government transport, commercial and light aircraft and up to and including remote locations)
