The DRDC Library offers a full-range of library services to DRDC personnel across Canada. Library personnel deliver daily client services, collection services, and a virtual library to the agency. The DRDC Library is a small, special library in science and technology subjects with a strong client-first focus.
The DRDC Library is a distributed team with personnel across Canada. The Librarian position would be located at the DRDC Valcartier Research Centre in Quebec, Quebec but would be a member of the distributed DRDC Library team. The ideal candidate can adapt to new ways of working in a changing library environment.
The initial intent of this process is to offer one permanent position in Valcartier.
A pool of qualified persons resulting from this process may be created and may be used to fill similar positions with linguistic profiles, as well as tenures (permanent or temporary) which may vary according to the position being staffed.

Education:
Graduation* from a recognized post-secondary institution with a master's degree in library science or in library and information science; or
Graduation* from a recognized post-secondary institution with a bachelor's degree in library science or in library and information science for which another bachelor's degree was a prerequisite.

Experience providing library services
Experience in working with clients to access resources or services.
Bilingual - Imperative (BBB/BBB)
