APPLYING
To submit a complete application, you must provide: answers to the screening questions and a résumé.
The screening questions will be used as the primary tool for the preselection process and the résumé will be used to substantiate the information provided. The screening board cannot make assumptions about your experience. Human Resources Administrator:
Delivery of administrative and support services in Human Resources (HR) activities* to management and employees in a Tiered Service Delivery approach by having a centralized Human Resources Service Desk.
*HR activities may include: classification, recruitment and staffing, strategic planning workforce analysis, recognition, learning and professional development, onboarding, labour relations, official languages, work force adjustment, workplace relations, performance management, occupational health and safety and employment equity.
Junior Compensation Advisor:
Delivery of compensation and benefits services, support and advice to employees of the OSGG.
The OSGG is a small organization of approximately 150 employees that offers flexible work arrangements and a positive, collaborative and bilingual work environment.
The OSGG is located on the historic grounds of Rideau Hall, at 1 Sussex Drive, in Ottawa and is close to public transit, bike and walking paths.
Due to COVID-19, most of our employees are currently working virtually from home using the latest technologies to stay connected. Under normal circumstances, the positions are located at Rideau Hall.
The intent of this process is to staff two (2) indeterminate, bilingual imperative BBB/BBB positions. A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the OSGG.

EDUCATION
A secondary school diploma.
EXPERIENCE
E1 Experience providing administrative support in at least one of the following human resources disciplines: classification, recruitment and staffing, strategic planning workforce analysis, recognition, learning and professional development, onboarding, labour relations, official languages, work force adjustment, workplace relations, performance management, occupational health and safety or employment equity.
E2 Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook).
E3 Experience using a file storage and filing system.
E4 Experience with entering, correcting, searching and manipulating data in a Human Resources Management System.

ASSET - EDUCATION
AE Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in a specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
ASSET - EXPERIENCE
AE1 Experience in the application of legislation, policies, directives or collective agreements related to compensation and benefits.
AE2 Experience in the delivery of compensation services.
AE3 Experience in processing compensation transactions in a pay system.
AE4 Experience in the use of the following computer systems in the Compensation and Benefits area: MyGCHR, Compensation Web Applications (CWA) and Phoenix.
AE5 Experience as a staffing assistant in an operational setting.
AE6 Experience with entering, correcting, searching and manipulating data in Peoplesoft or MyGCHR.
AE7 Experience using and providing support for GCdocs.
AE8 Experience in event coordination.
