Our Human Resources Branch is a shared internal service who provides services to two departments: Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) and Indigenous Services Canada (ISC). Our clientele is of approximately 9,000 employees. We have a strong regional presence!

NOTE: Remote work arrangements may be available and will be determined on a case-by-case basis dependent on operational feasibility at the time of hiring. This may mean working from a CIRNAC office within a regional or national headquarters building. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our teams are currently working remotely, though this may change in the future.

Intent of the process

A pool of candidates will be established to staff position at Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) and at Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) with various tenure, linguistic profiles or security requirements.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Successful completion of two years of secondary school or employer-approved alternatives.

Notes:
The employer-approved alternatives to two years of secondary school are:
-A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to two years of secondary school; or
-An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience working in a human resources environment.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Graduation with a diploma or a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or some other specialty relevant to the position.

Degree equivalency

Experience in providing administrative or customer service.
Experience in the use of MyGCHR or PeopleSoft 8.9.
