A number of federal departments now offer job description writing and editing services. This expansion in service is aligned with the growing need for accurate and up to date job descriptions, particularly in the context of government-wide classification initiatives. To deliver on these new services, the Organization and Classification Centres of Expertise (OCCOE) at Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), at Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED), at Correctional Service Canada (CSC), at Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) and at Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) now have dedicated teams whose mission is to simplify and streamline the job description writing process for internal clients, and provide technical writing support to Human Resources (HR) advisors.
If you have a passion for writing, research, and analysis, join our professional and dynamic teams! As a Writing and Analysis Officer, you will deal directly with managers and executives from all our internal client groups, and develop unique and standardized job descriptions and job evaluation rationales in accordance with applicable departmental and central agency guidelines, bulletins, policies, directives, and best practices. This opportunity is an ideal point of entry for those interested in a career in Human Resources, Communications, or Economic Studies and Social Sciences within the Federal Public Service.
