The position provides local fleet management services focused on short and long term vehicle dispatch and rental.
- Distribution of more than 300 vehicles distributed to 52 customer units in the greater Montreal area and the units in the suburbs.
- Responsibility for data analysis in order to facilitate decision-making relating to the purchase, allocation or rental of vehicles by establishing operating costs, determining their profitability based on their use and make recommendations.
- Financial responsibilities related to the control and monitoring of budgets and expenditures made for each vehicle in order to make decisions.
- Respond to customers' transportation requests, analyze their short and long term vehicle needs and determine the most advantageous way to meet their needs.

This process will be used to staff one indeterminate (permanent) position of AS-02 in Montréal (Québec) BBB/BBB. Meanwhile, a pool of candidates will be established and may be used to staff positions for determinate (casual) periods and / or indeterminate (permanent). This pool could be used to fill similar positions within the Department of National Defence in Quebec area with various language proficiencies and security profile.

Education :
High school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training or experience relevant to transport or fleet management field.
Experience :
• At least 3 years of recent experience in the transportation field ** or in the fleet management field.
• At least 1 year of experience in customer service field.
• At least 2 years of experience working with a computerized fleet management system.
• Experience in using Microsoft office ( outlook, excel, Word)
** The transportation department including vehicle services, fleet management and vehicle dispatcher.
Occupational Certification
• Any vehicle qualifications

005/AG-002, Transportation manual, DISO and the Black Book.

Operational requirements:
• Willing to work overtime on occasion.
Conditions of employment:
• Various levels of Security Clearance required such as Basic reliability and Secret
• To hold a valid Class 5 provincial drivers’ licence and being able to keep it.
• Being able to travel occasionally in different military bases in Quebec.
• Being able to attend training sessions on occasion.
• To hold or being able to obtain the 404 DND drivers permit and being able to keep it.
• The candidate must be able the pass the Financial Administrative Act (FAA) exam (Art. 32-33-34) and be able to keep it
