The intent of this process is to fill current vacant positions within the IT Directorate. A pool of partially qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff similar positions within the Privy Council Office with various language requirements, and various tenures. Please note that the positions that are not located in the National Capital Region are anticipatory and temporary.

EDUCATION
Successful completion of a two (2) year acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
Notes:
1. Indeterminate period incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the CS group.
2. It is the recognized educational institution (e.g. community college, CÉGEP or university) that determines if the courses taken by a candidate correspond to two years of a post-secondary program at the institution.
3. It is the candidate’s responsibility to obtain the appropriate documentation from the recognized educational institution. Candidates will be required to provide proof of education credentials (i.e. original version of diploma or transcript(s)) if or when invited to the interview stage.
4. Foreign educational credentials must be assessed by a recognized credential assessment service. If the candidate has been educated outside of Canada, it is the candidate's responsibility to have his or her certificates and/or diplomas assessed against Canadian educational standards.
