Intent of the process

A partially or fully assessed pool may be established to staff similar positions within the Department of Veterans Affairs with various tenures, various linguistic profiles, and/or security clearances.

Education:
ED1 - Graduation with a degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution or have an *acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

*Acceptable combination is defined as “A secondary school diploma with an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience relevant to the position being staffed.”

Degree equivalency

Experience:
EX1 - Recent* experience in working as part of a team responsible for designing or implementing solutions or initiatives.
EX2 - Experience analyzing options and developing recommendations.
EX3 - Experience working as part of a team responsible for the development of policies, procedures or standards.

"Recent experience" is defined as experience gained within the last five (5) years.

Abilities:
AB1 - Ability to analyze and synthesize information and make recommendations.*
AB2 - Ability to set priorities and plan work to meet deadlines.*

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants should clearly demonstrate on their application if they meet any of the asset
qualifications.

Education:
AED1 - Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in information management, library sciences, computer science, management information systems, or a related field and experience.
AED2 - Completion of a masters degree in information management.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
AEX1 - Experience serving as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces.
AEX2 - Experience analyzing options and proposing recommendations related to Information Management (IM) and/or Information Technology (IT).
AEX3 - Experience identifying and documenting functional requirements for electronic records and document management systems.
AEX4 - Experience in providing advice and guidance on Information Management.
AEX5 - Experience in records management.
AEX6 - Experience in planning, developing and providing information management training.
AEX7 - Experience using and providing support for an electronic document management system, such as but not limited to: Sharepoint, GCdocs, O365, RDIMS or CRM.
AEX8 - Experience using an IT Services Management tool such as, but not limited to, Axios Assyst.
AEX9 - Experience implementing O365.
AEX10 - Experience in developing plans, tools, or processes to migrate information from current systems and repositories to GCDOCS or other IM records systems.
AEX11 - Experience in the testing of changes or upgrades in Information Management systems.
AEX12 - Recent experience as part of a team developing and implementing an enterprise-wide information governance framework, preferably for digital information.

Operational Requirements:
Willingness and ability to work overtime on occasion with short notice.
