The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is the federal government agency responsible for administering sentences of a term of two years or more, as imposed by the courts. CSC is responsible for managing institutions of various security levels and supervising offenders under conditional release in the community.
Staff may be working in an environment where there could be inmate/offender contact.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established and used to fill various positions of various tenures (e.g. casual, temporary and permanent) within the Correctional Service of Canada.

EDUCATION
Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE
Experience* providing administrative or clerical support services in an office environment or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
*Defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of the duties on a continuous basis over a period of approximately three months, within the last five years, including any work placements.
Experience in the use of various software programs such as: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Power Point.

EDUCATION
Post-secondary education in a field related to the position.
EXPERIENCE
Experience working in a health services environment.
Experience working in a correctional environment (federal/provincial/regional treatment centre).
Experience working with Indigenous culture.
Experience preparing meeting minutes.
Experience researching, extracting and compiling information from various sources.
Experience in the preparation of correspondence and reports.
Experience arranging work-related travel (i.e. expense claims).
Experience in data entry.
Experience providing support to senior managers.
Experience working with programs such as HRMS, RADAR and OMS.
Experience using a database and/or software applications for report creation.
Experience providing clerical/administrative support services related to correctional programs and/or, case management, and/or security.
Experience working with medical files.
Experience working in records management.
Experience working in finance.
Experience working in support services related to procurement and acquisition card responsibilities.
Experience providing clerical/administrative support services to management, such as monitoring and managing their electronic inbox and managing their calendar.
Experience working with women offenders.
COMPETENCIES

Completion of Women Centred Training (WCT).
