The Innovation, Information and Technology Branch (IITB) is a national organization, with a wide variety of work that can be performed regardless of geographic location. However, certain positions may require a physical presence at a specific location.

EDUCATION
ED1- Successful completion of two years of an acceptable postsecondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management, or another specialty relevant to the jobs being filled.
An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience may serve as an alternative to the minimum postsecondary education stated above.
EXPERIENCE
EX1- Experience leading the delivery of complex* IM/IT projects, solutions, products or services.
EX2- Experience in analyzing IM/IT challenges, developing innovative solutions and preparing recommendations, reports and briefing materials to support senior official
decision taking.
EX3- Experience in collaborating with stakeholder networks to advance work with consensus.
EX4- Experience in managing a team. This would include assigning work and managing performance. Indicate the number of staff directly managed.
EX5- Experience in managing a budget and contractual resources, costing IM or IT initiatives and providing input to major funding/expenditure submissions.

*Complex issues must include at least two (2) of the following characteristics: multi-dimensional, classified, multi-stakeholder, setting a precedent or organizationally impactful. Applicants must clearly demonstrate the complexity of the issues.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
AED1- Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in computer science, information technology, information management, or another specialty relevant to the positions being staffed.
EXPERIENCE
AEX1- Experience in one or more of the following IM/IT disciplines:
• Enterprise IM/IT architecture.
• Business-driven system transformations.
• Cloud technologies, and cloud-based application deployment and management.
• Cyber security management and operations. Please specify if your experience is in a cloud/multi-cloud environment.
• Distributed computing management and operations.
• Physical and digital information management.
• Service management.
• IM/IT infrastructure deployment and operation.
• IM/IT strategy planning and development.
• Management of aging IT and technical debt.
• Business continuity and IM/IT disaster recovery planning.
AEX2- Experience leading project delivery using an agile methodology.

Assessment
A multi-tier model may be used for screening or any other steps in the process.
Depending on the number of applicants, volume management strategies such as random selection, application of one (1) or more assets, top-down approach, and/or cut-off scores may be used for the purpose of managing applications/candidates.

Other assessment methods that are deemed appropriate to determine if an individual meets the essential/asset qualifications may be used throughout the process.
