Though not exhaustive, the main responsibilities for the position are as followed:
• Verification of documents submitted by the fishers;
• Preparation of documents relative to the requests made by fishers and do the necessary follow-up;
• Verify the data presented by fishers and producers, obtain and provide the required information;
• Provide data entry and the data base analysis activities relative to the licensing and statistics management;
• Distribute and transmit the correspondence;
• Maintain an up-to-date filing system.

The current need is to staff a permanent position in Gaspé. A pool of candidates will be created as a result of this process and could be used to fill opportunities of different tenures (temporary or permanent) in the Department of Fisheries and Oceans - Québec Region, with various linguistic profiles and various security requirements which may vary according to the position being staffed.

High school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE
Experience in the delivery of customer service.
Experience in data treatment (for example collecting, entering, verifying, searching, extracting and/or presenting data and documents).
Various language requirements
Such as: Bilingual imperative - BBB level or French essential
