WORKPLACE:
At the time of publication of this job opportunity, Indigenous Services Canada employees have not yet returned to their work location and are currently working remotely due to the COVID-19 context. However, the duties of the Information Management Specialist could require the successful candidate to be present in the workplace on occasion.
The Information Management Specialist performs the implementation and monitoring of classification plans and retention schedules, verifies and analyzes the content of records and documents for classification purposes, and performs data quality and compliance monitoring for legal, regulatory and administrative requirements.
In addition, working as specialist gives you the opportunity to participate in testing national and regional systems, analyze requirements, provide advice and training to internal clients. Finally, the specialist supports the Information Management Team Leader in performing other related tasks.

The Quebec Regional Office of the Department of Indigenous Services Canada is located in the Saint-Roch district, at the heart of downtown Quebec. The regional office team is made up of nearly 180 employees, with a mix of professional profiles.

EDUCATION
A diploma from a recognized post-secondary educational institution in documentation, archival, library or other information management related to the position.
EXPERIENCE
Recent* experience in the use of an electronic document management system;
Experience in classifying and indexing electronic and paper files;
Experience in providing client service.
* Recent refers to a minimum of 6 months of experience in the last two (2) years.
