By working as a Program Officer within the Programs Directorate, you will:
- Accomplish work that allows you to use your organizational and leadership skills.
- Work on the implementation, delivery and support of programs and Agency priorities.
- Promote ACOA's programs and activities to the public and business community.
- Provide professional advice, analysis and recommendations on economic and business
development issues.
- Assist in the development and delivery of regional economic development programs.
- Represent ACOA at meetings with various key stakeholders.

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in a field relevant to the duties of the position (such as Business, Economics, Public Administration).
IMPORTANT NOTE: Students within six months of obtaining their degree will be considered. You must provide the program and the anticipated date of obtaining your degree in your application.
EXPERIENCE:
The following experiences are required for all positions:
E1: In gathering and analyzing information, preparing reports or documents for other users.
E2: In providing or presenting information verbally to others.
E3: In working collaboratively with others on projects or activities.
Additionally, the following experiences are required for the more senior Program Officer positions (CO-2):
E4: In the delivery of various initiatives to a diverse client base.
E5: In the analysis and evaluation of business or strategic plans or proposals.
E6: In representing your organization in various forums/committees.

ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS:

• HOW TO STRUCTURE

The screening board will not make any assumptions about your experience. It is not sufficient to say that you have the required qualifications or to list your current duties.
Your resume may be a secondary source to confirm the experience described in the screening questions. Applications that do not clearly demonstrate that the candidate meets the screening criteria will not be given further consideration. You will not be solicited for incomplete or possible missing information.
