Work environment

Shared Services Canada is modernizing how the Government of Canada manages its information technology (IT) infrastructure. The Department is mandated to deliver email, data centre and telecommunication services, including videoconferencing and Wi-Fi, to partner organizations.

EDUCATION
ED1: A secondary school diploma or an acceptable of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
EX1: Recent* and significant** experience in the development or delivery of a comprehensive Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) program that has an organizational wide impact.
EX2: Recent* and significant** experience providing strategic advice and recommendations to managers on sensitive issues related to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS).
EX3: Recent* and significant** experience in managing investigations related to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS).

*“Recent” experience is defined as experience normally acquired within the last two (2) years.
** ‘’Significant’’ experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally acquired over a period of approximately three (3) years.

ASSET EDUCATION
AED1: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university in a field relevant to the position such as: business administration, human resources and industrial relations.

Degree equivalency

ASSET EXPERIENCE
AEX1: Experience managing human and financial resources.
AEX2: Experience working in a virtual team environment.

K4: Knowledge of investigation protocols.

A1: Ability to write briefing notes to senior management (Director and above).
