***The intent of this process is to build on an existing pool of qualified candidates to be used to staff indeterminate EG-05 Technical Instructor positions with different language requirements at the Canadian Forces School of Military Engineering, 5 Canadian Division Support Base, Oromocto, NB.***
This anticipatory staffing is for the following EG-05 Technical Instructor positions:
• Electrical Distribution (ED)
• Plumbing & Heating (PH)
• Construction/Carpenter (CONST)
• Drafting and Survey (DS)
• Electrical Generation Systems (EGS)
• Water, Fuels and Environment (WFE)
• Refrigeration and Mechanical (RM)
A pool of qualified candidates will be established and may be used to staff similar positions with different language requirements and tenures.

Education:
All positions require the following:
•A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
For Electrical Distribution (ED), Plumbing & Heating (PH), Construction/Carpenter (CONST), and Refrigeration and Mechanical (RM) positions the following is required:
•Possession of a valid New Brunswick or Inter-Provincial Journeyperson Certificate in a trade related to the position being applied for, OR
•Certification at the Canadian Forces DP3 or QL6A level in the following military construction engineer MOSIDs:
-00302 for Electrical Distribution, OR
-00304 for Plumbing and Heating, OR
-00306 for Construction/Carpenter, OR
-00301 for Refrigeration Mechanical.
For the Drafting and Survey (DS) position, the following is required:
•Acceptable combination of training, education, and experience in related fields to the DS position such as: Computer assisted drafting and design; plane and geodetic survey ie as-built, layout, topographic, network design; OR
•Professional Technologist (PTech or CET) designation, OR
•Certification at the Canadian Forces DP3 or QL6A level in Drafting and/or Surveying fields.
For the Electrical Generation Systems (EGS) position, the following is required:
•Certification at the Canadian Forces DP3 or QL6A level in the Electrical Generation Systems MOSID 00303, OR
•Acceptable combination of training, education, and experience in related fields to the EGS position such as:
-Canadian Council for Technician and Technologist (CCTT) Provincial Certification in a relevant discipline; OR
-New Brunswick Society of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (NBSCETT) in a relevant discipline; OR
-Electrical Power Generation Technician Diploma; OR
-Combination of both Inter-Provincial Journeyperson Certificate as an Industrial Electrician & Inter-Provincial Journeyperson Certificate as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright).
For Water, Fuels and Environment (WFE) positions, the following is required:
•Certification at the Canadian Forces DP3 or QL6A level in the Water, Fuels and Environment MOSID 00305, OR
•Acceptable combination of training, education, and experience in related fields to the WFE position such as:
-Environmental/Chemical Engineer Technology diploma; OR
-Wastewater Collection and/or Water Distribution system experience on a municipal (minimum 5 years’ experience); OR
-Wastewater Treatment and/or Water treatment plant Level 2 certification.
Experience:
All positions require the following experiences:
• Extensive* experience that clearly demonstrates work accomplishments in coordinating projects (estimating, planning, and implementation) related to the trade instructor position being applied for.
• Experience with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, and Power Point).
*Extensive is defined as a minimum of five (5) years’ experience.
For Drafting and Survey (DS) positions, the following is also required:
• Extensive* experience in using AutoCAD and Civil3D software.
• Extensive* experience in using post-processing software.
• Extensive* experience with operating survey equipment to include Total station, GNSS, and Leveling.
• Extensive* experience in geodesy and other survey applications.
*Extensive is defined as a minimum of five (5) years’ experience.

• Candidates must be willing and able to work in a classroom environment, as well as occasionally work in indoor and outdoor training areas.
