HOW TO APPLY:
You will be required to demonstrate how you meet the education and each of the experience criteria listed in the essential qualifications and any of the applicable asset qualifications on the Statement of Merit Criteria, for the initial screening, by answering the online screening questions. Please be sure to include substantiating details that clearly outline the breadth of experience as well as relevant timelines.
Failure to clearly demonstrate how you meet the screening criteria (Education, Experience, Essential and Asset (if applicable) may result in the rejection of your application. Candidates will not be solicited for incomplete or missing information.
The results of this process will initially be used to staff one English essential position on an indeterminate basis.
A partially or fully assessed pool of candidates may also be created to be used to staff positions with various linguistic profiles (English essential, bilingual imperative BBB/BBB and CBC/CBC), as required at future dates within Transport Canada.

Education
ED: Graduation with a degree from a recognized university in electrical engineering or an engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
OR
Occupational Certification
OC: Eligibility for certification as a professional engineer in Canada with specialization in an engineering specialty relevant to the position.
Experience
EX1: Minimum of five years of engineering experience relevant to the position in the design, development, testing and certification of aeronautical products.
Education
AED1: Post-graduate degree from a recognized university in an engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
AED2: Continuing education in engineering specialties relevant to the duties of the position.
Experience
AEX1: Design and analysis of electrical wiring interconnection systems (EWIS).
AEX2: Design and testing of fuel tank and fuel system lightning and electromagnetic, electrostatic protection features.

Knowledge
K1: Knowledge of engineering principles and practices applicable to aircraft, aircraft engines and aeronautical products such as design, development, testing, and certification in the following engineering specializations:
- Electrical Power Generation and Distribution
