►This is an anticipatory process. The intent is to staff EX-03 group and level positions as per operational requirements.

►All federal organizations listed in the Schedules I, IV and V of the Financial Administration Act (FAA) may use this selection process to staff similar positions in their organization.

EDUCATION:
►Graduation with a degree from a recognized post secondary institution or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
►Significant* experience in providing strategic advice, recommendations and briefings on corporate services (Stream 1) or policy and programs (Stream 2) to senior management (Director General or higher within the Public Service; and Vice-President/Executive Director or equivalent or higher in other organizations) on complex** issues.
►Significant* experience in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as federal/provincial/territorial departments and/or central agencies and/or the private sector and/or Indigenous communities or their representative organizations to achieve corporate services objectives (Stream 1) or policy and program objectives. (Stream 2).
►Significant* experience in providing strategic leadership in the development, and delivery of corporate services (Stream 1) or policy and programs (Stream 2).
►Experience in managing human*** and financial**** resources.
NOTES:
*Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of the experience normally acquired over a period of three (3) years.
**Complex is defined as having some of the following characteristics: multidimensional, sensitive, confidential, affecting many partners or stakeholders, precedent setting or having major impact on the public service, or having a potential for significant media coverage.
***Human resources management: Applicants must clearly demonstrate that they have managed human resources and were responsible for a team for a period of at least three (3) years. Some examples of managing human resources may include: assigning work, establishing performance objectives, developing resourcing plans, determining needs and approving training, etc. Applicants must indicate the number of employees they supervised.
****Financial resources management: Applicants must clearly demonstrate that they have managed financial resources and were accountable for a budget for a period of at least three (3) years. Some examples of managing financial resources may include full delegation for a budget, forecasting, planning, reporting and budget allocation, etc. Applicants must also indicate the size of the budget they managed.
EXPERIENCE:
►Experience in leading organizational changes or business transformation initiatives.
►Experience in leading or overseeing negotiations with Indigenous organizations.
►Experience in working with Indigenous partners and/or communities to advance Indigenous priorities in corporate services (Stream 1) or in policy and programs (Stream 2).
►Significant* experience working on Arctic and Northern related issues.
