Intent of the process

The intent is to staff one (1) position on an indeterminate basis located in Gatineau, Qc with Audit and Evaluation sector at Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC). If you are found qualified and opportunities become available, you could be considered to staff similar or identical positions at Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada with various locations, linguistic profiles, requirement as well as tenures and/or the security clearance, which may vary according to the position being staffed.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:

A degree* from a recognized post secondary institution** in public administration, business administration, economics or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience relevant to the position.

*The term “degree” refers to a baccalaureate as established by educational authorities.

**A public or private institution that has been given authority to grant degrees, diplomas, and other credentials by a public or private act of a provincial/territorial legislature or through a government-mandated quality assurance mechanism. For greater certainty, also included are institutions authorized to grant specific academic credentials for specific academic programs.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

Recent* and significant** experience in planning and leading projects.

Experience in developing strategic or business plans.

Experience in liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

Experience in providing strategic advice and recommendations to senior officials.

Experience working with consultants or external service providers.

*Recent experience means in the past five (5) years.

**Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of the duties for a period of approximately two (2) years.

Ability to prepare briefing material and presentations to senior management and make recommendations.

COMPETENCIES:

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
(Not essential, but preference may be given to candidates who possess asset qualifications)

EDUCATION:

Holds or is currently working towards a relevant certification such as: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or Certified Forensic Investigators (CFI).

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

Experience in conducting investigations or internal audits.

Experience in liaison activities involving more than one department.
