Intent of the process

A pool of pre-qualified or fully qualified candidates may be created to staff similar or identical positions with various tenure, various linguistic profiles and security requirements within the Courts Administration Service.

Candidates may be evaluated further, for specific opportunities, on qualifications that are deemed necessary, whether or not these qualifications have been listed on the job advertisement.

Information you must provide

Your résumé.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

At minimum a secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and or experience.

* Acceptable combination of education, training and experience is defined as successful completion of two year program from a recognized secondary institution and five years experience in a field related to security.

Degree equivalency

Experience in dealing with internal and external clients/stakeholders.

Experience writing draft reports for clients/managers on security related matters.

Experience in providing advice, guidance and information to clients on security matters in a client service environment.

Experience working with the Office suite software including, but not limited to spreadsheets (Excel), word processing (Word) and e-mail (Outlook).

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field related to the security.

Degree equivalency

Use of force certification.

Experience in the provision of security services (for example working in a Security Operations Centre, experience in the operation of a Closed-circuit television (CCTV) system, radio dispatch or access control systems).

Experience driving company owned vehicles for business purposes.

Experience working within a judicial or quasi-judicial environment.

Experience leading or supporting administrative investigations.

Conditions of employment

Security Clearance: Various security profiles

Possession of a valid G class Driver's License or equivalent.
Able to work outside of core hours (07:00 to 18:00) shift work including evenings, weekends and designated holidays.
Able to do overtime on short notice.
Able to travel outside of the National Capital Region and outside of Canada.
