The immediate intention of this selection process is to fill an indeterminate position in the National Capital Region with a bilingual imperative BBB/BBB linguistic profile. A partially assessed pool may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions within PSPC, with various language requirements and various security requirements. This pool may also be used to staff positions across Canada, either in Halifax, Montréal, Toronto, Edmonton or Victoria.
IMPORTANT: Note that teleworking from home located in a city other than those listed above could be considered as an option. This flexible work arrangement must be renewed and approved by management each year.

HOW TO APPLY?
Respond to the screening questions by writing one or two paragraphs demonstrating how you meet each of the required education and experience (for the stream for which you are applying) and ensure that clear and accurate details are provided. To do so, you MUST proceed by using the following format:
A) Provide 1 to 2 paragraphs per criteria demonstrating that you have the required education and experience and ensure to provide concrete, clear and detailed examples; and
B) Indicate the period(s) in which you performed the functions (FROM month-year TO month-year); and
C) Indicate the position occupied and in which company, organization or department. For each position within the Public Service, you MUST indicate the group and level i.e. IS-03.
You must provide concrete and detailed examples to clearly demonstrate how you meet the EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE requirements listed in the essential qualifications and ASSET QUALIFICATION sections. The screening board cannot make any assumptions about your experience. It is not sufficient to say that you have the required qualifications or to list your current duties. Your answers may also be used to assess your ability to communicate effectively in writing. Your resume will be used as a secondary source of information to validate your experience. APPLICATIONS THAT DO NOT CLEARLY DEMONSTRATE THAT THE CANDIDATE MEETS THE SCREENING CRITERIA WILL NOT BE GIVEN FURTHER CONSIDERATION.

EDUCATION
A degree* from a recognized post-secondary institution.
*The term degree refers to a baccalaureate or higher degree as established by educational authorities.

1. Based on their education, training and/or experience, indeterminate incumbents of positions in the IS classification are deemed to meet the minimum education standard whenever a bachelor's degree without specialization is called for in a position classified as IS.
2. At the manager's discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience, may serve as an alternative to the minimum education standard.

EXPERIENCES Stream 1- Analytics:
EX1 - Experience in digital communications monitoring, analysis, performance measurement and reporting (web analytics).
EX2 - Experience providing advice to clients and management* based on web analytics reports.
*Management is defined as a Manager (team lead) or Director level.
EX3 - Experience using analytics tools such as (but not limited to) Adobe analytics or Google analytics.
EXPERIENCES Stream 2– Web:
EX4 - Experience writing Web content.
EX5 - Experience in providing web-related and digital communications advice to clients.
EX6 - Experience in planning and working on digital communications projects, including working with multiple partners.
ABILITIES for both streams:
A1 - Ability to process complex information relevant to digital communications.
A2 - Ability to manage and implement web projects.
A3 - Ability to communicate effectively orally.

Please note that achieving the pass mark on any of the assessments used does not mean you will move forward in the selection process. Management may decide to use a score that is higher than the pass mark on any of the evaluations used throughout the selection process. Management may also decide to use random or top-down selection at any stage of the assessment process.
Candidates from outside the federal public service may be required to pay for their own travel and relocation expenses.
