The Income Security and Social Development branch is the focal point for social policy and programs designed to ensure that children, families, seniors, people with disabilities, the homeless and those at risk of homelessness, communities and others who are facing social challenges have the support, knowledge, and information they need to maintain their well-being and facilitate their participation in society.

The immediate intention of this selection process is to fill one indeterminate position. A partially assessed pool may be established from this process to staff similar positions within Employment and Social Development Canada. In this case, tenures and security requirements may vary according to the positions being staffed.

EDUCATION
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience
EXPERIENCE
Experience in developing a variety of communications products such as internal newsletters, short articles, brochures and other communications products for distribution to a wide internal audience
Experience in reviewing style and quality of language as well as providing editing and proofreading services to refine corporate communications products
Experience in coordinating or supporting corporate events

EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or in a field relevant to the position
EXPERIENCE
Experience in developing Intranet pages as well as supporting clients on the use of Intranet tools and related practices
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Willing and able to work overtime on short notice
