A pool of qualified candidates (anticipatory) will be established and will be used to staff similar positions at the same group and level, with various linguistic requirements, on an indeterminate or temporary basis within Environment and Climate Change Canada across Canada.

Education (Stream 1 & Stream 2):
•Graduation with a degree from a recognized university with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.
NOTE: Candidates must always have a university degree. The courses for the specialization do not necessarily have to be part of a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience (Stream 1):
•Experience in conducting research and analyzing information from various sources.
•Experience in preparing reports or briefing materials for presentation to senior management.
•Experience in contributing advice or recommendations on policy or program development related to environment issues.
•Experience in contributing to strategic planning documents such as work plans, implementation plans, etc.
Experience (Stream 2):
•Experience preparing briefing materials, presentations, or scenario notes.
•Experience in working with others as part of a team.
•Experience in working with and analyzing data and in preparing analytical reports.
•Experience working in multidisciplinary teams with internal or external stakeholders.
•Experience interpreting information for program and policy purposes.
Knowledge (Stream 1):
•Knowledge of Environment and Climate Change Canada’s mandate.
•Knowledge of the organizational structure of the Canadian Wildlife Service.
Knowledge (Stream 2) :
•Knowledge of Environment and Climate Change Canada’s organizational structure, policies and programs, including the Canada Nature Fund.
•Knowledge of current and emerging conservation issues.
•Knowledge of policies and practices relevant to transfer payment programs or procurement.
Asset Experience (Stream 1):
•Experience in liaising, collaborating and building relationships with Indigenous organizations.
Asset Experience (Stream 2) :
•Experience working in policy or programs related to biodiversity, conservation, transfer programs, or Indigenous reconciliation.
•Experience working for the private or non-profit sectors, or for provincial, territorial or municipal governments, or Indigenous organizations.
•Experience in G&C program development and administration.
•Experience drafting cabinet documents and with the cabinet process.
