In this selection process, there are three (3) streams:
STREAM 1 – SYSTEMS AND QUALITY ASSURANCE PROJECT LEAD
STREAM 2 – ELECTIONS CONTRIBUTIONS AND EXPENSES MANAGER
STREAM 3 – SENIOR ELECTIONS EXPENSES AUDITOR
Due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation, the selected candidate will work remotely from his/her residence location until further notice. When the decision is made for Elections Canada employees to return to the workplace, the successful candidate is expected to work at the traditional workplace located at 30, Victoria Street, in Gatineau with a combination of remote work all while ensuring a flexible work schedule.
The immediate intent of this process is to staff one (1) indeterminate position and one (1) term position, both with bilingual imperative BBB/BBB linguistic profile.
In addition, a pool of fully or partially qualified candidates will be established to staff similar or identical positions within Elections Canada with various tenures (indeterminate, various specified periods) and various linguistic profiles (Bilingual imperative BBB/BBB, English or French essential).

EDUCATION:
All Streams:
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics AND experience related to positions in the Financial Management Group OR eligibility for a recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA or CGA).
EXPERIENCE
All Streams
-Significant** experience in providing guidance to internal or external clients.
-Experience in providing advice, briefing materials and recommendations to management (FI-04 or director level) on complex financial or systems issues.

- Recent* experience in leading a project.
- Recent* experience in gathering, analyzing and prioritizing business requirements.

Stream 2 – Elections Contributions & Expenses Manager
- Recent* experience in supervising employees.
Streams 2 & 3 – Financial Audit
- Recent* and significant** experience in conducting audits such as internal, compliance or financial.
- Significant** experience in analyzing and evaluating complex*** financial information.
*Recent experience is defined as experience gained within the last five (5) years.
**Significant experience is defined as experience associated with having performed a range of related activities, which could normally be acquired over a minimal period two (2) years.
***Complexity refers to situations that require knowledge of many interconnected elements and of the relationships between these elements to arrive at a solution.
