NOTE: Virtual work arrangements may be available and will be determined on a case by case basis dependent on operational feasibility at the time of hiring. This means working from an Indigenous Services Canada office within a regional or national headquarters building. The employee will be expected to perform all functions of the positions remotely from an Indigenous Services Canada office but may report to a manager who is working in another location.
A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may be established to staff similar or identical positions at Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) and Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) with various linguistic profiles (French essential, English essential, BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC, CCC/CCC.) and/or requirement as well as tenures and/or the security clearance (reliability or secret), which may vary according to the position being staffed.

The minimum standard is:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.
Part A Notes:
Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Common to both Streams (Stream 1 (EC-03) and Stream 2 (EC-04).
Experience analyzing qualitative and quantitative information.
Experience conducting policy or evaluation or regulatory research and analysis
Experience participating on project teams or working groups involved in policy analysis or policy development or evaluation projects
Stream 2 (EC-04):
Experience providing advice to senior analysts or above on policy, research or
evaluation work;
Experience preparing and writing policy-related documents such as environmental scans, policy
papers, research reports, evaluation reports, briefing notes or presentations
Various language requirements
LINGUISTIC COMPETENCIES:
