Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one position on a permanent basis, located at 3303-33rd Street N.W. Calgary, Alberta.

A pool of qualified candidates may be established through this process and may be used to staff identical or similar positions (full-time) at the AS-01 group and level within Natural Resources Canada in Calgary, Alberta, with various tenures (determinate period or permanent), various language requirements (English Essential, French Essential, English or French Essential or Bilingual), various methods for staffing a bilingual position (imperative and/or non-imperative) and profile(s) (BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC, etc.), various security requirements (Reliability status or Secret clearance), and various conditions of employment.

►A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.

•An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

►Experience providing administrative support services in various areas such as finance, human resources and material management.
►Experience using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
►Experience coordinating logistics for events, such as workshops, training, meetings and conference/video calls.
►Experience maintaining and tracking records through both paper and digital filing systems.
►Experience coordinating travel, making travel bookings and completing travel claims.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
►Successful completion of a vocational program, certificate, diploma or degree from a recognized institution in any field relevant to the work to be performed.

Degree equivalency

►Experience using the Hogg Robinson Group (HRG) travel system.
►Experience preparing requisitions and/or purchase orders for the acquisition of goods and services.
►Experience with budgeting and the preparation of financial reports.
►Experience using a financial management system, such as Systems Applications and Products (SAP).
►Experience in the use of Microsoft Office PowerPoint.

►Knowledge of the financial aspects of SAP.
