The RCMP is committed to having a safe and healthy workplace and is committed to having a trusted and effective regime for addressing harassment in the workplace. As such, the RCMP has recently announced the creation of the new Independent Centre for Harassment Resolution (ICHR), which consists of a separate independent unit that will be responsible for the harassment resolution process.
The RCMP is seeking a senior executive to provide leadership to lead the launch and the implementation of this transformational initiative.
They will report to the Chief Administrative Officer of the RCMP and will work with the Professional Responsibility Officer and the Chief Human Resources Officer.
They will be responsible for building HR capacity in key positions and establishing a roster of investigators.
The individual will provide leadership:
− In the review and implementation of initial policies, processes, standards, reporting framework and training pertaining to the new ICHR and ensure compliance with the Canada Labour Code.
- In the link between the new ICHR and the broader Workplace Culture Regime by ensuring a holistic approach which will include Awareness and Prevention initiatives, Early Conflict Resolution model, Informal Conflict Management Services and Learning and Development.
In addition, they will be responsible for establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with key stakeholders including: Officials from Public Safety Canada, bargaining agents, employees, RCMP internal committees, key government partners and academic leaders.
The RCMP is seeking a senior executive to lead the implementation of the newly announced Independent Centre for Harassment Resolution (ICHR).
The immediate requirement is for up to a twelve-month period. The hiring/staffing mechanism and salary will be determined based on the selected candidate’s current employment status (temporary employment, secondment, assignment, Interchange Canada, etc.).

Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in human resources management, labour or industrial relations, psychology, law, public or business administration, organizational development, social sciences, or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed.
Experience:
Significant experience in providing strategic advice and recommendations to senior management on complex issues.
Significant experience in building and maintaining relationships and strategic partnerships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in leading major innovation initiatives or business transformation.
Experience in managing human and financial resources.
Abilities:
Strong communications skills, including understanding and communicating context, factoring in the economic, social and political environment and are comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment.
