A pool of pre-qualified or fully qualified candidates may be created to staff similar or identical positions with various tenure, various linguistic profiles and security requirements within the Courts Administration Service.
Candidates may be evaluated further, for specific opportunities, on qualifications that are deemed necessary, whether or not these qualifications have been listed on the job advertisement.

Your résumé.
At minimum, graduated with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in law or translation or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience*.
* Acceptable combination of education, training and experience is defined as successful completion of two year program from a recognized post-secondary institution and five years experience in a field related to legal translation.
Recent experience* in legal translation and revision from English to French or French to English.
Recent experience* comparing the English and French versions of texts to ensure their equivalence, to identify discrepancies and to suggest appropriate revisions.
Recent experience* using a computer and software such as Microsoft Word to complete the revision of translated documents.
*Recent experience is defined as five (5) years of experience acquired within the last seven (7) years.
Knowledge of legal terminology and of jurilinguistics.
Knowledge of legal and language research tools and techniques.
Ability to revise translations from English to French or French to English of legal texts that are to be published.
Ability to translate, from English to French or French to English, legal texts or other types of texts.
Oral communication.
