Don’t worry, once your application is in our inventory, even if your application is not selected for one job, it remains in the inventory and can be selected for other opportunities. Please note that each hiring manager may have specific criteria to assess for their respective positions. Therefore, “other” qualifications may be considered as essential qualifications based on the current and future requirements of the position being staffed. If you are referred for more than one opportunity, you may be re-assessed on the same criteria. We are taking a simplified approach for you to apply to this inventory. We don’t even require a cover letter! You just need to provide the following:
■ Your resume, which must NOT exceed four (4) pages;
■ During the application process, you will be asked to answer a series of pre-screening questions about “other” qualifications that may be a deciding factor in referring your application to hiring managers for consideration. In this instance, any of the “other” qualifications may be deemed essential requirements for the position being staffed.
■To demonstrate how you meet the screening criteria (education and experience), you will need to provide concrete examples for each screening question to clearly explain how you have acquired the education and experience criteria.
NOTE: To facilitate the referral of applicants to hiring managers, only applications submitted online will be accepted.
We are aware that there are many questions to answer during the application process, please, keep in mind that, in answering all the questions for which you meet the criteria, you will significantly increase your chances of being referred to hiring managers for further consideration.
Please note that the first assessment process that will be conducted via this inventory will begin on March 30, 2021, with the screening phase. Other screening processes will be conducted periodically as vacancies arise.

The intent of this process is to staff various positions in order to support the Chief Information Officer Directorate of Public Safety Canada. This inventory will also be used to staff future vacancies with various linguistic profiles, conditions of employment, security requirements and various tenures within Public Safety Canada. Employees occupying a substantive position at the same group and level (CS-01) or equivalent may be considered for secondment, assignment or deployment first.
